Building Malaysia's Next Startup Hub

We're transforming East Coast Malaysia into a recognized startup ecosystem—one founder at a time.

Our Mission

To transform East Coast Malaysia (Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang) into a thriving startup ecosystem by providing ambitious founders—from anywhere—with the mentorship, technical support, and infrastructure to build world-class companies from this region.

Our Vision

By 2030, East Coast Malaysia is a recognized innovation hub, proving to Malaysia and the world that breakthrough companies can be built anywhere—not just in capital cities. We're redefining what's possible for regional entrepreneurship.

The Problem We're Solving

Malaysia's startup ecosystem has a regional imbalance problem.

🏙️ Concentrated Resources

Most major accelerators (Antler, 500 Startups, MaGIC), VCs, and startup events are concentrated in Klang Valley, presenting opportunities for regional ecosystem development.

🎓 Talent Migration Pattern

Universities in Kelantan & Terengganu produce thousands of business and IT graduates annually. Many talented individuals seek opportunities in major cities due to the developing local tech ecosystem.

💡 Ecosystem Development Opportunity

The startup ecosystem in East Coast Malaysia is in its early growth phase. Local business owners have investment capacity and are increasingly interested in early-stage opportunities and mentorship.

🏗️ Building Infrastructure

First-time founders need accessible resources: co-working spaces, mentorship networks, community connections, and startup events. We're building this infrastructure.

How We're Fixing This

ECDC is a venture studio + ecosystem builder, not just an accelerator.

🛠️ Hands-On Venture Studio

We don't just mentor—we BUILD with you. CTO-level technical support from idea to MVP to fundraising.

🎓 Education & Community

Workshops, talks, YouTube content (in BM), and events to demystify startups for local audience.

🤝 Strategic Partnerships

University collaborations, government backing, corporate sponsors—building ecosystem infrastructure.

🏢 Physical Infrastructure

Virtual office, training space, and incubator facilities in Kota Bharu for startups and community.

Meet the Founder

Building the ecosystem that East Coast Malaysia deserves.

Farhan Syah - Founder & CTO

Farhan Syah

Founder & CTO

Background: Experienced CTO originally from Kelantan who spent 10+ years in KL's startup scene building and scaling companies. Decided to return home to build the ecosystem that should have existed all along.

Why ECDC: "Too much talent leaves East Coast Malaysia because we haven't built the ecosystem yet. I'm here to change that—to prove world-class companies can be built from Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang. If we don't build this, who will?"

The Mission: Build a thriving startup ecosystem in East Coast Malaysia by providing ambitious founders with hands-on technical support, mentorship, and the resources they need to succeed—right here, not in KL.

The Team

Currently bootstrapping solo. Actively seeking co-founders and team members.
